About the Artist
I am a Tasmanian-born ceramic artist, university graduate marine biologist, and long-time horse enthusiast. I began working with clay in my early teenage years when I came across my father’s old pottery wheel, hiding almost forgotten in the back of a shed. I am self-taught, with my early pottery lessons consisting of old video cassettes (VHS) borrowed from the City Library.
In more recent years, I have had the opportunity to refine my skills and learn a wider range of techniques in the presence of other skilled potters and master potters.
I settled in Port Stephens in late 2012 and set up my pottery studio in Medowie in late 2018. My philosophy is ‘if it can be imagined, it can be created’.

Studio space hire is perfect for potters who don’t have access to their own wheel, or who may simply wish to ply their craft with other like minded artists. Our studio is set up to foster a community spirit, and offers a number of Venco pottery wheels, a variety of wheel throwing and hand building equipment, a wedging table, slab roller, kilns, and many different glazes.
